What is a environmental certification?
Environmental certification is a process that ensures a project meets certain standards for environmental responsibility. This includes assessments of sustainability, pollution prevention, and resource conservation. The ISO14001:2015 standard has been updated to keep up with current trends and innovations in sustainable development.
Costs:
The cost of a certification varies based on a number of factors and also depends on many factors such as the size and scope of the project among other things. When it comes to ISO14001, the first step is to find out if your company qualifies for certification.
It could take anywhere from 2-3 years to complete this process and it will be cheaper if you hire a consultant or company that can do it all for you! This doesn’t mean you’ll need a consultant every time you want to get certified as there are cheaper alternatives for this as well. If you have already been working on your own environmental management system, then it may be cheaper and equally effective to have an independent auditor assess your company instead of going through an entire audit process.
Investment costs vary from business to business, but they usually come at around $6,000-$10,000 per year.
